Giveaway for a great cause!

Hi everyone! Today I am super excited to present you with my GIVEAWAY for an awesome cause! Recently, I learned that this beautiful young lady, Molly Malandrino, is signed up to run 26.2 miles in the Boston Marathon in order to raise money for a heart felt program for children called GoKids Boston. How sweet is this, that she is willing to give of herself and run all those miles, for young children that need help!

Four giveaway packages:

This program has an amazing facility that gets kids involved and interested in exercise, healthy living and nutrition. The beauty of this program is that it gives low income children the opportunity to build their self esteem and live active lifestyles.
Molly is committed to  raising $7,500 for their foundation and all the proceeds go directly into the youth and their program. She has raised much of what she's committed to, but she still needs help, FOR THESE CHILDREN.....so I have decided to have a giveaway in order to help this young lady raise what she needs (and hopefully a lot more).
I have several packages that I would like to giveaway for all who donates to this cause. There is no set amount that I'm asking you to donate.....no amount is too small!

Here is how it will work:

Everyone that donates, will be entered into a drawing. (I have several drawings to satisfy every scrapping style).

To donate, simply go to this Donation link and donate under Molly Malandrino's name so that she raises the money that she has committed to. When you donate, leave a note, on the donation site, saying you heard about donating from the blog (this is how donations will be verified). Then leave me a comment that you donated AND what drawing you would like me to put your name into.

If you would like TWO chances to win, donate and post this post to your blog.

It's that simple!

Extra ~ Extra ~ Extra:

The first TWO people that comment on my blog saying they donated and posted it to their blog, will be sent a goodie package, from me, that will consist of a mini 4 X 6 pattern paper pad, an alpha sheet, and a small stamp. You will also be entered into the drawing of your choice.

Here are the giveaway packages:

Scrapping kit:

Mixed media kit:

Pocket scrap kit:

Good luck to everyone. And thanks so much for your donation.

Sodalicious journal page

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a journal page that I did for the latest Sodalicious journal challenge. For this challenge, they want you to create something concerning 'superstition'. I had this newspaper article about my daughter as a skier, with bib #13, so I decided to use this to do my page.

When she was 13 years old, she was ski racing, and during this one season they gave her bib #13. When they called her name, to come get her bib, she looked at me, with questioning eyes. What does a mother say to her daughter that just got bib #13 for the season????????? I wanted to re-assure her, so I looked her straight in the eye, and told her that #13 was a lucky number! Of course I was dying inside!!!!!!

The challenge:

Here's a close-up:

And to answer the question that many of you are wondering......She had a wonderful season....she was the number one skier! Yes, #13 is a lucky number!

As always, thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Hero lo!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share my Gauche Alchemy 'hero' lo with you that I made using many of my GA goodies. With St Patrick's day around the corner, I wanted to create something green that portrayed lucky, so I decided to use the cool green camouflage napkin, from the napkin art kit, as my base, to portray how lucky I am to have 'my dad', who served in the Army, as my hero!

Once I established the base I wanted, I then added some mixed colors to continue with the camouflage theme. For bursts of green, I dug into my  green-with-envy-mixed-media-color-kit, and found those nice see-through green round pop-up smooth stickers and beads.....love the added dimension that these give to my lo!

To top the lo off, I decided to go with a bold title, so I used some red paint, to make it pop.

What LUCKY project are you working on this month?

I invite you to our shop for a look around...you're going to want to grab all kinds of 'perfect' goodies for your  project/theme!

Hugs,
Sandi

Hanging mood board!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a wire hanging mood board I made using some neat products that I won from "the hidden prize" EAD hop offered by Lauren, via her super cool blog called All the good blog names were taken.

Here's my first mood board card that I made:

My mood board hanger:

The little coffee mood card is my first mood object that I have added to my hanger. This was made with some pp's, a neat cloth banner section, and the "no. 1" stamp...all from the hop.

The cartoon gal (this is how I look first thing in the morning before my coffee.....lol) on the front of the card is from an old book page from Lauren's (the owner of the blog) Etsy shop. She has a really cool shop with lots of neat paper goodies in it. My actual hanger, was made from a clothes hanger that I wrapped with a child's book page from Lauren's shop. Love the way this came out! For now, I also added the vintage "S" card, also from her shop. As I go along, I will add more goodies to this board.

As always, thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Sodalicious "Rules" challenge!

Hi  Everyone! Today I'd like to share a journal page that I did, as a guest designer, for the latest Sodalicious "Rules" challenge. Another fun challenge! Love the wonderful challenges that they come up with. For me, I decided to do a page about my art using the 'rules' in the manner that there are NO rules, when it comes to my art....I just create as I like....and enjoy the journey along the way.

Ski day!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a lo that I made, about a ski day that I recently had, for the Paperdvizhnik sketch challenge. Love this fun sketch!

Hubby, snapped this photo of me next to a huge snow making machine on the side of the trail. Pretty massive....yes!

The sketch:

Just think of the possibilities!
Here are some close-ups:

This was such a great ski day, that I wanted to capture it in an upbeat manner, so I kept the embellies and mix colorful, light, and fun.

We would love for you to join us! Can't wait to see what you come up with for this very cool sketch! And do stop by our blog to see all the fun posts that we'd love to share with you!

City life!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share some 'bag' art that I made for my DT project featured in the March Gauche Alchemy newsletter. Yup, you read it right.....bagged art! Every week, hubby and I get a loaf of fresh Italian bread to gobble down, leaving only crumbs and a wrinkled up bag. I was about to throw the bag out, when I thought, "I really like the look of this bag.....I think I'll use it in some way for one of my projects, and this is what I came up with......

City life..... fast moving and filled with a combo of business, stylish, and fun filled people all scurrying around with a purpose!

As part of my details, I envisioned buildings, and thought the zebra striped napkin pieces, from the GA napkin-art-kit, would be perfect!

Love the boldness that these pieces add to this! To add a little sparkle and fun, I decided to add some gorgeous blue rhinestones and the number 'one' tile chip, from the blue-streak-mixed-media-color-kit.

I thought it might be fashionable to have one of my gals courting along with some kind of 3D embellie, so I used that neat looking umbrella from the banana-hammock-mixed-media-color-kit.

Love the very cool bits and pieces in each one of the colored mixed media kits. Each bag, is a wonder in-of-itself. I invite you to check these kits out....you'll go crazy over these  embellies/fixings!

And while you're GA shopping, be sure to take a peek at the Gauche Alchemy Blog for all kinds of
neat ideas and inspirational works of art! You're going to be astonished with what you see!

As always, thank you for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!
Hugs!
