Once Upon a Sketch - guest designer

It's up! The July 1st challenge is up early at Once Upon a Sketch! What an awesome sketch this month by Nadia, the lovely creator/owner, of this wonderful site. As one of the winners from the last challenge, I was able to take part in this challenge as a guest designer....yippee....what an honor!
The criteria for this challenge is to follow the sketch, naming the person in the picture and of course JOURNAL a couple of sentences about that person...lots of fun! You really must stop by to see what the other guest designers and DT have come up with! http://onceuponasketchblog.blogspot.com/2011/06/july-1st-challenge-meet-our-july-guest.html

Using up some of the old stash!

Hi everyone! How much old stash do you have? You know, the kind that you're not using...the kind that you'll use someday! Well this lo of my dd was done with just that! I used up some pp from an old pad of paper from 'Lasting Impressions - Just the girls' that I had. I had bought this years ago with the intent of doing lo's about my dd's but never did them. This month's challenge at Scrapbookers Anonymous is to use at least four sheets from an old pad of paper. I'm so glad that they had this challenge because otherwise the pad would still be sitt

ing with my stash collecting dust...heeheeee!

Our little bundle of joy!

Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you a lo that I did for the Once upon a sketch challenge. This time the challenge has the theme 'a moment in time'. You have to journal about why your pictures are memorable. For this challenge I scrapped pictures of my son holding his new sister. She was just 2 hrs. old in these. For us her birth was very memorable because on my husband's side they have had generations of boys, no girls, until our sweet daughter was born! Time to celebrate!!!!!!!!
I love this site because it forces you to journal...something that I'm starting to do now that I have joined the site. If you want to take your scrapping a step further, you really must go check out this lovely site...Awesome site, DT and scrappers

alike!!! :)

Maybe a little extreme!

Hello! Today I did this lo for the Color Combos Galore challenge. Right away I fell in love with the colors that they gave us to play with and thought I would do something feminine. With the challenge, you had to alter a photo. Wow...how fun it is to play with that! I love the look of the pic...maybe a little extreme...but something different and neat. What do you think...too extreme?

I want to create my life with you!

Hi everyone. I did this lo of hubby and I for the June 123 Challenge site. This time the challenge is to create a lo using the word create, the colour brown, and tape. My journaling reads "Shortly after I met you, I decided I wanted to create a life with you". What a fun trio mix! You really must head over to the site to see what the fabulous DT has come up with!

Have you ever done a remake?

Have you ever done a remake of a lo that you made? I did a lo for TCR challenge this week and I started off by misting the background and then going from there. I had this lo that I created in my mind but I had not sprayed the background dark enough and it looked really washed out so I added darker pp and then before I knew it I created a completely different lo then I wanted to...one that I really didn't care for. Well...for the last couple days that silly lo kept calling my name and so tonight I cut it up and started over. I figured, I had nothing to loose since I didn't really care for it anyways. Here's the lo that I wanted to create from the get go. Yup! That's me always taking pictures! I'm so glad that I started over! Have you ever done that?

So very beautiful

Hi everyone! Today I'm excited to show you this great little memory jar that I made after looking at the directions for it on the wonderful 'Get Creative' site. I took the jar, added sand, sea shells and then a stamped clothspin with an attached butterfly that is holding a beach pic. I made a tag to hang outside the jar and volla....neat little memory jar. In the pic, it'

s a little hard to see everything, but in person it's kinda cool...you really must head over there and take a look!!!!
I also did a lo for the site for this months challenge which is to make a tag for your lo. I used a stamped tag that I purchased and put paint on it, a butterfly rub-on, and then stitched trim to the bottom. From there I added my pic and so on...fun!
