Lovely blog

Today I came across this lovely blog called 'Lilies and Dandelions'. Just the name alone tells you how dainty sweet this blog is. This gal just started her blog and has the most beautiful pics and content in it...everything that I love! She is presently having a DW lavender pkg. giveaway, as pictured in my blog...aren't the pics just gorgeous! I so love lavender...the hanging lavender flowers looks just like the bunch that I have in my home...oh the smell of lavender...I just can't get enough. In addition to the giveaway, she also has this wonderful cleaning recipe using lemon and lavender! You must go see her blog for yourself. I can't wait to see what her next post will be!

Simplicity

In the quietness of a cold winter day this simple flower, from the summer past, calls to me...it evokes beauty, simplicity, and strength. I just love the way this dried up flower, from my summer bed, has stood up to the snow with it's continuing beauty. It just looks so neat. I just had to share!

New lg. scrapbook

This weekend I made this LARGE scrapbook. I took a brown paperbag and put all kinds of cool stuff on it. Then I added vintage buttons, vintage looking trim on the side and a large vintage clip on the other side to hold the pages together. At the top I made a sleeve to slide a card, with journaling, up and down. Then I added a pic of me to the front. I'm going to use this to put pages of everything that I like ranging from family pics to pics of antique/vintage stuff, and recipes all in scrapbook style. It was hard to capture a good picture of this due to it's size, so I scanned different sections at a time for you to see. I can't wait to start scrapping the inside pages!

The big boys

The big boys have finally come out and cleared the streets! Just too much snow for the little plows to handle. The weather is so much warmer...yippee! Now we can see when we pull out of side streets! The snow is now melting off the rooftops...I think we're all ready for spring!

So much snow!

There is just sooooooooooooooo much snow lately! Where to put it is the question! The huge mountains of snow are just amazing...you could go sledding in your own backyard! Our lovely little picket fence is almost completely covered by it. We really do need it to stop for a tad!
Here are some pics of my dd, helping to clear the snow off the bushes, that I thought I'd share. I'm going to have to scrap these for sure along with other pics showing the height of the snow...I do believe that records of snow fall are being made all over the place this year!
