Mixed media fun!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share some mixed media projects that I made using The Paper Bakery  mixed media kits. Wow! I must say, I had so much fun! My first project was done using this month's "Time of day" mixed media kit, and my second project, used mixed media from the "Time of day" kit and past mixed media kit mediums.

Here's my first:

Love the background on this one! Notice the arrows. I did this with an arrow template and modeling paste, included in the "Time of day" kit. The heart was made from a music sheet that I painted with twinkling red H2O's paint, from the kit. Love the way it has a soft sparkle to it. Here's a closeup:

Isn't the red gorgeous againt the pasted background!
For my second project, I took the second canvas, included in the "Time of day" kit, added yellow paint to it and then blended the red H2O's paint to give it an orange hue. Next, I painted on the arrow template and blended some colors from Gelatos, which were in previous mm kits to get my background.

For the coffee cup, I cut the shape out of the music sheet, included in the "Time of day" kit, and blended more colors from the gelatos and then outlined it with the Viva black paper pen, also included in the kit.

I finished it off by writing coffee on it with the same Viva paper pen.

If you're interested in playing with mixed media, I invite you to the Paper Bakery shop where you will find all kinds of kits and goodies. And now, Sarah has added those fun flair buttons to the shop! Love the buttons....such a great variety and so fun to use!

Paper Bakery Mini booklet!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a mini booklet that I made with The Paper Bakery January scrapping kit. Love this amazing kit. For the booklet base, I used a couple of kraft tissue papers that are included in the kit. Love the feel of this one!

Here are the first couple of pages in the booklet. I thought I'd use this booklet to scrap different things/adventures that hubby and I do together that I love.

Everything on the pages are from the kit. Lots of paper goodies, kraft hearts, pp's, vellum, receipt sheets, ribbon, floss, and burlap.

If you would like to see this kit, as well as the "project", and "mixed media" kit, I invite you to visit the PB Shop. And for some amazing DT inspiration, you'll want to visit our DT blog.

Z & Z mini thoughts book!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a mini 'thoughts' book that I made out of some neat goodies from my Zeus & Zoe vintage kit. I am having such a blast with this kit......yup, you guest it, I LOVE vintage! If you love vintage, Marivic puts together vintage kits like no other!!!!

Here is the cover:

I made the mini from a sewing pattern instruction sheet. I then added some pp to it, all from the kit.

Here's my first page:

For this page, I added more pp and that sweet button, from my kit!

Here's another page:

Oh yes, if you know me, you know that I love Starbucks, so of course, I had to do a page on that. The pic doesn't show it as pretty as what it looks, but off the coffee cup is a string of vintage stones.....love those! Got them in my kit too!

Now I will have to continue with this book, as the year moves on and I'll incorporate all the fun stuff that I like, will try, etc.

I invite you to our Z&Z blog, where you will find some amazing inspiration. And if you are  interested in one of the Z&Z kits, Marivic will make you up a custom kit. For some yummy kit ideas, I invite you to our Z&Z Etsy shop, where you will find all kinds of stuff to add to it!

Z & Z love challenge!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a lo, of my sister, that I did for the February Zeus and Zoe challenge. This challenge is so fun and easy. The criteria has so many possibilities....do a project showing some kind of love and simply use the word "love" on your creation! How easy is that!

For my lo I used the word 'love' in my journaling. So easy, and so fun using the Z&Z kit. Yes, this lo was made using bits and pieces and background pp from the kit. Also from the kit is the heart behind the pic, which I made by cutting up and old linen piece of material. In addition, I used a piece of floral material, and a cloths pin. That's one of the fabulous things about these kits....there's a wonderful mix of vintage and up to date latest embellies in every kit. And right now, Marivic is excepting orders for custom made kits....yeah!

For some awesome DT inspiration, I invite you to visit our blog. And if you'd like to take a peek at all the wonderful goodies that are in our Z&Z Etsy store, you can by going here. You're going to love the mix!
