Another MFT fabulous stencil!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a project that I made using another fabulous stencil from My favorite things. Wow! I just love these high quality stencils!!!! The minute I saw this one, I thought of flowers, and decided to make this holder from the package that the stencils came in. The ribbon hanging, is sewn onto the backside so I can put gardening goodies in it and then string the ribbon around the knob to keep it closed. I thought I'd keep this in my potting shed as useful decoration.

Vintage love!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a lo that I did for the latest Scrapfriends sketch challenge. I just absolutely love their sketches. For this sketch, I did a page in a large journal book that I made out of a paper bag and old accounting paper. This page is all about my love for vintage and fashion flair. On the page are vintage snaps, threads, and vintage pattern. Thank you Scrapfriends for another fabulous sketch!

New Mixed Media challenge site!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a coffee book that I made for the A Mixed Media color challenge site.  For this challenge, you have to use at least two types of mediums and the colors pink, grey, and black. What a fun challenge! I decided to make a mini book about coffee. Hubby and I love coffee and are always trying different types so I thought this would be a great way to document what brands we've tried and rate them. Can't wait to start filling up the book with pics and info. Thank you AMMCC for the inspiration!

The challenge:

You can see the different mm's that I used....tapes, stamps, flair, label, stickers, papers, staple, threads, and a pen to circle around the paint that I used with my 'dot' stencil from My Favorite Things.

As always, thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Mixed Media Time!

Hi everyone! Today I'm super excited to share a clock that I made with  The Paper Bakery June Mixed Media kit "Mr. Belding". Love this very cool kit! The minute I saw the Tim Holtz assemblage clock,  I thought that I needed to do something with it that showed an endearing love through time, and  so I decided to do a vintage theme with my parents in mind. The pic I used of them is one taken while they were dating.

This kit includes some yummy Tim Holtz distressed paint, gears, seam binding, "My Minds Eye" pattern paper, book pages, dog tag, and of course that fabulous clock!

Here's a close-up of the seam binding, pp, and dog tag:

PaperDvizhnik sketch challenge!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a lo that I did for the Paperdvizhnik sketch challenge. What a fun sketch! For me, I decided to do a lo about some flowers that my son gave to me for Mother's day. The background kraft paper is the paper that the flowers were wrapped in along with the pink triangles. I thought this was a perfect way to keep those memories vivid for me and the sketch is just an added plus. Thank you Paperdvizhnik!

Here's the cool sketch:

And some close-ups:

I really loved the brilliant colors in the array of flowers that was in the bunch!

And I thought the sparkle pink material wrapped around them was just more gorgeousness that I wanted to keep as a sweet memory!

Mixed media fun!

Hi everyone! Today I'd like to share a couple of canvases that I did using The Paper Bakery Mixed media kits. The first one I made using a combo of paints and medias from a couple of TPB mixed media kits and the second from the May "Trunk show" mm kit, with the exception of the base paper that I used for the heart and the light stamping, which are from other PB mm kits.

I thought the first one would look cute in the corner, where my sewing mach. is, and the second, closer to my crafting table.

I had a lot of fun with these. Love mixing the different paints and mediums! This month I was able to play with "Art Anthology" paint and crystals, which are in the May kit, and I must say these are amazing....so creamy! If you'd like to get messy, with a mm kit, you should try one by The Paper Bakery...Sarah, the PB owner, really knows how to put these fabulous kits together! To take a peak at this amazing kit you can here .

As always, thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
